About The Graph

The Graph – is an open-source indexing protocol primarily made to help users query data in the Blockchain network using GraphQL. The leading players in this indexing protocol include Indexers, Curators, and Delegators. Developers use Graph Explorer to organize public data necessary for decentralized applications (dAPPs). All transactions use Graph Tokens (GRT), a native utility token.

The Graph traces back to July 2018 under The Graph Foundation. The co-founders are Jannis Pohlmann, Brandon Ramirez, Yaniv Tal, who hold tech lead, research lead, and project lead positions. The main objective of the Graph is to power applications in web3 and DeFi platforms under a decentralized economy. Open APIs in the Graph Network are commonly known as subgraphs. GRT is the ERC-20 token in the Ethereum blockchain network and is available in Coinbase, OKEx, Kraken, Binance, and Kucoin.
